Tiger
Spring 1989 - February 2004 Tiger was a sort of "surrogate" son to Midnight because he happened to come up as a stray kitten about the time Midnight's own son, Flash was hit by a car. We adopted Tiger as that stray, timid little kitten, and though he went from being tiny to pudgy to small and frail again throughout his long life, he always remained the classic scaredy cat, timid even of his own shadow--but fiercely protective when he felt that his home or family was threatened. At the age of 15, Tiger passed away doing exactly what he loved--protecting his home and his family from a stray intruder. While his spirit may have been strong, his heart was not, as it was likely his heart that gave out during that last fight to keep his home safe. He is sadly missed.
