Bastet
(June 2001; modeled in Poser 4)
My impression of Bastet, Egyptian goddess of cats and fertility.
Credits for various elements:
- Dress and hair object meshes were downloaded (I've since lost the creator's names--if you know who created them, please contact me).
- Skin texture was also downloaded (again, the creator's name has been lost--please contact me if you know who the creator is), but I modified the texture to add Egyptian make-up and whisker marks.
- Figures are the Poser default woman ("Posette") and the Poser cat.
- Background is a photograph of the Pyramids at Giza, which I think I got from an Encarta CD (so credit for that original image does not go to me); I edited and manipulated the photograph, however--probably doesn't count as "fair use," but since I've lost all the files involved in this scene, including all texturemaps and the character herself, due to a major hard drive crash a couple of years ago, I can't go back and redo it so that this photograph is not the background.
- Armband and collars modeled by me in 3D Studio Max.
- All texture, transparency, and bump maps (except the woman's skin) were created by me from scratch.
