Quantum Mechanic
(February 2001; modeled in Poser 4)
This picture was inspired by a song by one of my absolute favourite musicians--Thomas Dolby (most of you will probably only know him for his 1983 song "She Blinded Me With Science"). On his album The Gate to the Mind's Eye (a soundtrack for one of the Mind's Eye computer animation videos), there is a very cute song called "Quantum Mechanic" ("Quantum mechanic...the matrix mathematic...my Honda is erratic...I'll show you the schematic..."). It's like a futuristic technological mechanic's song (very dancy), so I decided to make my own "quantum mechanic"--so, meet Ella (named after Dr. Fiorella Terrenzi, the multi-talented woman who did the vocals for the song).
Credits for various elements:
- Catsuit is the catsuit that comes with Poser
- Body of boots are boots that come with Poser
- Platform of boots is the Ultra Shoe (though I've forgotten the creator's name--if you know who the creator is, please contact me)
- hair is a combination of the female afro that comes with Poser and a stretched-out version of the ponytail (which you can't really see here) from the ponytail hair that comes with Poser; I combined the two meshes in 3D Studio Max
