Digitally Painted Art
Though I began drawing in childhood with the usual media of graphite pencils, pens, markers, and coloured pencils, it only took getting my first computer back in 1990 (at age ten) to start me on the road toward digital art. Back then, I had a program called Deluxe Paint 2 that allowed me the ability to draw on the cpmuter in 16 colours (at a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels--but I didn't know anything about resolution at the time, of course). I spent hours on the computer drawing my characters and fancies, fascinated by the ability to actually draw something in tiny dots of coloured light.
I've gone through several advances in digital painting technology since then--from Deluxe Paint 2 to various incarnations of Corel PhotoPaint, Jasc Paint Shop Pro, Adobe PhotoShop, and Corel Painter--but my fascination with digital media has stood the test of time, and I'm happy to say I've siginificantly increased my skills since I was a ten-year-old noodling around on my old 286 computer. :-) of course, I've also honed my skills in more traditional media as well, but my heart lies with painting in pixels.

Newer works are displayed in the top section; older works that no longer represent my skills are displayed seperately in the bottom section. I've kept these few older pieces up here because, though they're woefully outdated and many of them are particularly sub-par, I like them for one reason or another and would still like to share them with others, even if I often find them rather embarassing in terms of skill and technique. :-)
