Well, I've finally gotten around to some much-needed updates.
First of all, I updated all of the php code involved in that nifty comment feature I implemented about six months ago, on account of my having switched web hosts (twice, actually--the first one I switched to proved to be very lacking in almost every respect, so less than two months later, I switched again). Attentive viewers (all two of you) may have noted a three week period in February/March in which WhiteFantom's Haunt was completely offline--you can thank that unfortunate host I first switched to for that.
Second of all--new art! First is another commissioned piece I did for MMC Greetings called Going Up.... The most recent is Gloria Mundi, which I originally did simply because I wanted to paint concrete and rust. It turned into a kind of symbolic philosophical/religious commentary, though that was purely after the fact. Its deepest and most primal meaning is one of making the artist happy with interesting new textures to paint. :-)
And finally, I've updated the Prints & Publications page with listings for my prints and other products for sale at Ellen Million Graphics, a company specializing in Fantasy merchandise. You can use the link above to shop for products featuring my work, and all of my works offered by Ellen Million Graphics will be listed here in the Prints & Publications section.

I've got new art, and a nifty new feature!
The new art is actually a real-world media piece for a change, rather than my usual digital stuff. I added Lady Felidae to the Scanned Art section. She's done in coloured pencil on dark green cardstock, and she's actually a revisit of a piece I did years ago in clumsy watercolour, that piece being Cat Lady. This new version is a considerable improvement on the old one, and gave the character a completely different feel. Also, the original is for sale.
The new feature is an idea inspired by art communities like Elfwood and DeviantArt--the ability to add your own comments to an image! I've been teaching myself PHP and SQL, and my learning projects have been a quiz and a simple message board, and it was the message board that gave rise to this new feature, since the coding for the board was easily adaptable to image comments. I've only added the comment feature to my newer works, since I primarily want to use viewer comments as a way of improving my work, and I've already moved a long ways past those older pieces on my own.

Added Unity to the Artwork: Digitally Painted Art section. This was a commission from MMC Greetings, the greeting card company for whom I designed a logo earlier this year. Greeting cards will be available through their site, but I have graciously obtained their permission to offer prints myself, so if anyone is interested in a print, just follow the appropriate links on the page above or on the menu to the left--and while you're at it, feel free to buy a couple of other prints, too. :-)
Speaking of the Prints & Publications section, I changed the links to the prints available through DeviantArt because their affiliates program is currently down, and my links were via the affiliate program and thus were simply redirecting would-be print-buyers to the DeviantArt home page. This is now fixed, and each link to a print on DeviantArt now points directly to the print, rather than routing through the affiliates program (which allowed me to make more money per print).

Added Dathril (a writing exercise) to the Writing: Fiction section. It's not really new, but I just recently stumbled upon it on my hard drive and thought the exercise and example scenes might be helpful and useful, so I figured I'd go ahead and put it up here.
Also changed the Artwork galleries a bit by seperating older and more recent work into seperate sections. Now, all newer and more recent work will be at the top, followed by a seperator and the heading "Older Works" below, where the older and outdated works in that gallery will be displayed.
I also plan to restructure the Prints & Publications section a bit, but that'll have to wait for a later update.

Well, it was later than I projected, but here it is--the redesign of WhiteFantom's Haunt is finally complete! I'm going to be checking through everything and making sure everything works the way it's supposed to, and I may be making small adjustments if I notice any errors, but other than (hopeflly) minor things, everything should be up in full working order.
Along with the redesign, I have new art and new music. I added Plenty of Kibble in Heaven, Forgotten Things (colour), and Forgotten Things (black & white) to the Artwork section, and "Wish" (demo) to the Music section.
"Wish" was my Christmas gift to my fiance, but I was a bit rushed getting it done, so I consider the version that appears here to be a demo rather than a final version; the vocals will be re-recorded at some point in the future.
And finally (this has been a big update, hasn't it?:-), I'm happy to announce that The Woman of Silk and Steel and Forgotten Things (colour) have been accepted for publication by Ellen Million Graphics, a publisher of Fantasy-themed prints, greeting cards, bookmarks, stationery, and more. The products featuring these two paintings aren't yet available at EMG, but as soon as they are, I'll be adding the appropriate links to the Prints section and announcing it here as an update.

I'm starting the year off in a very nice way--I just finished a commission for a greeting card company called MMC Greetings, specifically in designing their logo, which I've added to the Computer Art section here. There is also the possibility that they may request further commissons from me in the future (in the form of card designs/artwork), so look for that in the coming months. I'm also working on a complete redesign of this site, which I hope to have finished and implemented before the end of February, if not considerably sooner (I hope).

Added "The Hornfasting" (rune border) and "The Hornfasting" (plain border) to the Artwork section, and re-added CafePress links on the Products page and the individual art pages, since I've decided to keep offering CafePress products along with the Zazzle products I almost simply switched to. I also updated the comments about my cats in the About Me section to reflect the sad death of Ludwig, my mother's five-year-old marble bengal.

Updated the links to the mp3's in the Music section to reflect my recently adopted stage name (Gwynevyr), as well as to point to a newer version of "Dignity," in which the volume of the vocals has been increased (I decided it was too low the other way; I also removed the audible mouse clicks from the ends of certain sections of audio, which had accidentally been captured right as I was stopping the recording of those sections. This new version is better balanced and much cleaner). Also, added links to my new Mp3.com artist page to both the Music section and the Links section.

Added song "Dignity" to the Music section, and added lyrics to "Dignity" to the Songs section. Also updated all links to products featuring my artwork to reflect my switch from CafePress to Zazzle. This means there is a smaller variety of products available for each painting due to Zazzle having fewer product types than CafePress, but I found myself in too much disagreement with CafePress' revised Terms of Service regarding their financial structure and requirements. Zazzle may offer fewer product types, but they surpass CafePress' in quality, both in the base product and in the printing.

Altered a lot of text in parts of the About Me, Poems, Songs, and Music sections, removed some pictures from the About Me section, and removed the poems "Yours" and "Broken Angel" from the Poems section (please update your links and bookmarks accordingly).

I recently set up shops at Cafe Press to sell products featuring my artwork, so I created a new Products page to display all the works for which there are products, as well as links directly to the products featuring that work. I added links to buying prints of those works on the new Products page page as well.

Finally posted a song in the Music section--a techno/dance/club song called "Far Away" (no, it isn't instrumental--I don't think I know how to do those;-)

Added "The Woman of Silk and Steel" to Computer Painted Artwork, and updated the index page to reflect that the Webrings section is now up and working, thanks to a huge blitz of webring-joining I did a couple of weeks ago. I still don't like the webring.org navigation bar thingies, but it's a lot less trouble than manually adding HTML code for every ring, so I'm leaving it.

This entire site, to my knowledge, is now updated and completed (with only two exceptions: The Music section has no music up yet because I'm working to record all of my songs as full mp3's; and the Webrings section currently doesn't have any webrings on it because I've yet to go around and rejoin all the rings I was once on). A year and a half after moving this site to my own server, I've finally finished all the updates...and now I'm already thinking about redesigning the whole thing. It never ends. :-)

Finally finished the Artwork section, after a year and a half of putting it off. It is now, to my knowledge, complete and working, so I don't have to divert people to my Elfwood and Side7 galleries to see my artwork anymore. I've also finally managed to get all the footer copyright notices changed to reflect my reversion to my maiden name, changed all the by-lines on my stories and poetry to reflect the same, and removed or altered all mentions of my now ex-husband. I've also got a working hit counter script, but it has required me to alter the extension of the home page from .html to .shtml, which means that all links to the home page on every single page of my site had to be changed--so I took the oportunity to get rid of that annoying intro page that used to be the index of this domain and replaced it with just the home page instead. As I type this, I still haven't done anything with the Webrings section, but that will hopefully not be long in coming. At this rate, I may actually have this site fully updated before the New Year--imagine that. Only a couple of years since I started this move, design, and update fiasco. :-)
